SCHOOL day / residential visits
Outdoor learning experiences can help develop confidence and improve well being. We provide multi-activity adventures for young people in the great outdoors. Experiences will develop new skills, build confidence and personal development, and improve health and fitness.
THE SITE
Our school experiences can take place anywhere on our three sites (Main site, Bubbs Hill or the Nancie Bradshaw field and wood). We can help you tailor a day trip or a residential camping experience for children aged 5 years and upwards. This is ideal for year 6 residentials, secondary school enrichment weeks, and so on.
OUR ACTIVITIES
Our activities fall into two categories - instructor-led and teacher-led.
Instructor-led activities
We offer: Archery, Arrows, Bushcraft, Geocaching, Grass sledging, Pistols, Pond dipping, Tunnels, Zip Wire.
These sessions are run by an instructor with an appropriate qualification or suitable experience who will ensure the activity runs smoothly and safely. A member of your staff will also be required to remain with each group to support the activity. No experience is necessary.
Teacher-led activities
We offer: Boules, Geocaching, Golf frisbee, Grass sledging, Indoor curling, Pond dipping, Tunnels.
Our teacher-led activities do not require an experienced or certified member of our team. We will provide you with the relevant equipment, instructions and safety guidelines before leaving you to oversee the rest of the session. Any of our teacher-led activities can also be run by a member of our team at an additional charge.
Full details of the activities, including risk assessments, can be found on the Activities Page. A copy of our liability insurance certificate can be produced on request.

Wet weather arrangements
Shelters are available on the main site or at the bottom of Bubbs Hill for groups to use. We also have a stable block towards the top of Bubbs Hill which can be used by groups. During busy periods or for larger groups, we will erect marquees/gazebos to shelter from the weather. Primarily though, we are an outdoor facility and groups should come prepared for all weathers.
