our private wood
In 2023 we purchased the Nancie Bradshaw field and wood and our volunteers have been busy getting it safe for visitors. We're delighted to launch the wood for bookings from 1 April 2024.
You book the space and provide your own games and/or activities. There is a campfire area as well as paths and trails that are ideally suited to a wide range of outdoor fun. The latest addition to our wood are the cheeky faces that have appeared, courtesy of our Deer Park diamonds volunteers.
We can accommodate one group at a time in the wood. Please be aware that there are some bookable activity spaces within the wood (eg bushcraft) so there might be another group doing one of these activities at the same time as your booking. These site activities take place in dedicated activity areas and do not impact on your booking. The Nancie Bradshaw field and Coronation hut is booked separately.
There is no indoor cover/shelter when booking the wood and you will have access to shared toilet facilities at the back of the Deer House across the road on the main site.

prices & booking conditions
Group visit fees are priced per booking for a morning, afternoon or evening session. Prices vary depending on whether your group is from Girlguiding Gloucestershire, another youth group or non-profit, or from another organisation. Please check the most up to date fees on the prices page.
