The Friends of Deer Park are a group of people who believe that Girlguiding makes a difference to the lives of girls and young women. They aim to help give girls of all ages more adventures and activities by supporting Deer Park financially.
Through the payment of an annual donation they assist in caring and providing 'extras' for the continued growth and improvement of facilities at Deer Park. Membership gives the opportunity to build friendships with other Friends through our events and activities and to learn about the exciting ongoing development of Deer Park. |

Contributions made to Deer Park in recent years
Since it's conception in 1970, the Friends of Deer Park have gifted more than £90,000 to fund items for Deer Park. Some recent examples are shown below:
- £1,375 to buy the golf frisbee activity, new freezer, and racks for the site office (2015)
- £3,500 towards the new toilet block on Bubbs Hill (2016)
- £3,500 towards the new storage shed on the main site (2019)
- £540 towards new comfy chairs for the activity room in the Deer House (2020)
- £715 to the Deer House 50 project (2021)
- £65 to buy the new history albums (2022)
- £3000 towards upgrades to the hot water system (2024)
Donations and subscriptions
All donations are welcome, however we hope Friends will make a donation of at least £10 per year. If you can Gift Aid your contribution this allows us to claim the tax back from the government at no additional cost to you.
If you would like to sign up as a Friend, please complete the Friends registration form. This will be sent to the Friends Administrator and you will be added to the mailing list.
Bank details for use when donating, including via standing order, can be found near the top of the Standing Order form. If you do not have access to telephone or online banking this form can be downloaded for completion and then sent to your bank.
