Our activities are currently limited because of Covid-19. Please visit our Covid-Secure Activities page for our current offering. This page has been left for those making long-term plans for post-Covid visits.
All of our activities conform to the Girlguiding Manual, with fully trained instructors complying to nationally recognised qualification where required. Disabilities can be catered for but prior notice must be given to ensure availability of appropriate equipment. Booking for activities can be done once booking form and deposit have been received.

Introductory and ‘have a go sessions’ for groups aged 7+ to practice archery skills onsite with qualified instructors. Group size maximum of 12 per 1 hour session. Arrows
For younger groups up to 12 years age, a system of bows and arrows with suckers on the end, resulting in learning the skills for archery with manageable goals and outcomes. Fun and games for all ages. Maximum 12 per group, per 1 hour session. Pistols
Onsite 60m Pistol range, for groups aged 10+ years, introductory and ‘have a go sessions’ with NSRA Range Conducting Officer qualifications. Group size maximum of 10 per 1 hour session. Guiding groups need to ensure they have the additional specific consent for Event/Activity (shooting) form from the girlguidinguk website. ![]()

Large course for groups aged 7+ years to learn team building skills and to challenge themselves, with the aid of an onsite instructor to get the most from the sessions. Group size maximum of 10 per 1 hour session. ![]()

![]() Zip Wire
Our new activity, 190m long run based at the top of Bubbs Hill. Sessions are for max 12 per hour session. Cost is set per session if more than 12 wish to participate options available include a second instructor for one session (if available) up to a maximum of 24 alternatively additional sessions will need to be booked. ![]()

![]() Grass sledging
An activity which is the equivalent to tobogganing on snow, using sledges with tracks running down a grassy hill, groups need to pull sledges to the top of the slope before heading down. The activity is weather dependent and is leader led. Depending on how busy site is sessions are either morning, afternoon or evening and can last as long as groups require. ![]()
![]() Tunnels
Set of three tunnel systems, easy – one straight line, medium – one corner and two exits and advanced – lots of corners and exits. Set over ground in plastic tunnels, this activity is leader led with instructions, head torches and knee pads (if required provided). This activity is suitable for all ages and group size. Depending on how busy site is sessions are either morning, afternoon or evening and can last as long as groups require. ![]()
Geocaching
Using handheld GPS units groups find caches, small boxes containing swaps (groups can bring there own swaps). 8 onsite private caches are set up on both the main site and Bubbs Hill, however maps and details can be provided for official Geocaches within the local area. ![]()

We have 2 newly trained fencing instructors, each session is 1hr long and we use equipment provided by Fencing UK, including head masks, aprons and foils. These are taster sessions to introduce the group to Fencing. ![]()
